If you're running linux or into building compilers then the FSF version is an option. But I haven't heard of anyone successfully building gcc-4.1.2 for Windows using MinGW outide of AdaCore. Please correct me if I am wrong (I hope I am).
I was able to create a gcc-4.1.x on a MinGW/Cygwin combo - However it was GNAT/Pro 6.0.1 being created using GNAT/Pro 6.0.0w. - Not much help for the Open Source Community.
My hope is now on GNAT/GPL 2007...
Apart from that: anybody who want a go should join The GNU Ada Project [1] - we have an endless amount of patches and scripts. We really try hard for MinGW.
