(big snip)

umm.. okay.. first, you made my christmas.. thanks... that was an excellent
post... and i read every word too... amazing, huh?

second... i must ask.. how long DOES it take you to post just one message to
a group (your average message)... it's fascinating... you practically live
on the computer... you know where to get the right info... you get way too
much info sometimes... get off-topic as often as my girlfriend and i... get
as FAR off-topic as she and i... it's amazing...

third... the ascii art was your own? it was awesome...

fourth... umm.. i'm glad i'm fascinated more by the japanese language than
by american english, the Queen's english, all the latin derivative
(romantic) languages, and any other european language... the japanese don't
change the noun (or even the verb) to pluralize the noun... unless the
listener doesn't know what the speaker is referring to... in which case
they'll throw in a quantifier of some type... but if the listener knows what
the speaker is talking about, the speaker will usually leave out as much of
the sentence as necessary... for instance.. if they're talking about a
certain, lazy pet dog... the speaker might say (in the literal english
translation) "much sleep"... meaning the dog sleeps a lot... not giving the
subject in the sentence... to them, all you need for a complete sentence is
just the verb, if everything can be figured out from previous dialogue...

anyways.. i'll shut up for now...
