Hehe! I just used that inverted 'nym to get past a particular
individual's killfile. That's all.
Belladonna alkaloids can actually be fairly useful...although
I wouldn't recommend smoking them.

Well, sure. And as Betov has pointed out, it would be a very easy
fix. Just a couple of additional instructions, and one new error
message.
Technically, though, it's not a 'crash.' If Randy had bothered to
just press the ESC key when RosAsm froze on his nutty symbol-table
'benchmark' code, RosAsm would have recovered, and all would have
been well.
Randy's obviously not very familiar with RosAsm.
And because Randy chose to make such a big public deal out of it,
Betov is being recalcitrant about fixing this glitch.
Silly, yes...but then, Betov is French. That condition is further
exacerbated by his really wacky political misperceptions.
But when one looks at the RosAsm source code, it becomes perfectly
obvious why the glitch occurs.
Randy MUST be able to see it. If he can't, maybe it's time that
we re-evaluated Randy's alleged 'expert' status.
Betov simply never foresaw the possibility that some moron would
ever attempt to assemble a symbol table only, without any actual
code being present in the source.
So, yeah...in a programmatic sense, Betov "gets it right." His only
deficiency is OVER-estimating the intelligence of potential users,
and not properly handling one specific error that a mega-stupid
user might precipitate.
It's tough to make anything idiot-proof. Idiots are always becoming
more creative in their idiocies.
It's my perception that Randy KNOWS PERFECTLY WELL that this so-
called 'RosAsm crash' thingie is an irrelevant red herring.
But he's chosen to make a 'straw man' of it anyway, as a means
of vengence against Betov for all of Betov's libelous rants about
Randy and HLA.
The emotion is understandable, but the argument is extremely weak.
Seems to me that it would be better to ignore Betov's profane but
amusing blusters...rather than go wandering off onto shaded side
paths in search of mystical beetle tracks.
I'm no great fan of either Betov or Randy, and I don't program for
WinDoze at all...so I have no personal stake in any of this.
I'm just a detached observer who finds these "Assembler Wars" to
be rather tedious, ultimately boring, and increasingly ridiculous.
