Ray,

The humour is that an XA will suck the headlites out of an XB, they
got heavier and slower. In OZ we call a plain white car a "sleeper" in
that they attract a lot less attention from the local constabulary.
This one is the reverse of most of the imitations, its a genuine
Falcon GT XA coupe built for Bathurst complete with its manufacturers
compliance plate where the one in the movies is a fake. I did not put
all of the Yahoo badges back on it so its only picked by the bonnet
scoops and the foot wide tyres.

I cheated with the rebuild and put a gearbox from an XW in it, same
from 390 manual mustang, forged pistons, a 4MA steel crank and a high
volume oil pump. It has all the joys of a truck to drive around the
city but joins capital cities real well :)

I actually built this one for highway rather than drags so it has
lower profile tyres and suspension to match. Its a pig to drag and
does doenuts instead which is frowned upon here but it is genuinely
fast point to point in torrain like winding mountain roads and it will
run the little screamers ragged. Turns Subaru Impreza's into
featherdusters. :)
