It's quite a freak-show of bizarrity in various fields.

To catch the cranks in action, then sci.math, sci.logic, and sci.physics
are quite a sight to behold. (You only need sci.math - the kooks from
the other groups cross-post to it in great abundance.) Discussion is not
advised, it only makes those of us who killfile the cranks see stuff
second hand. (It gets boring pretty soon, but it's funny to see what
loons are out there occasionally.)
