:)
Except Einstein wasn't an "enemy" of Newton at all:
"Newton himself was better aware of the weaknesses inherent in his
intellectual edifice than the generations that followed him. This fact has
always roused my admiration"
[ Albert Einstein, "Essays in Science", 1934 ]
And it was no "restoring the status quo" at all:
"All of these endeavors are based on the belief that existence should have
a completely harmonious structure. Today we have less ground than ever
before for allowing ourselves to be forced away from this wonderful belief"
[ Albert Einstein, "Essays in Science", 1934 (referring as much to Newton
as anyone else, considering his work merely an "extension" of a long, noble
"quest"...the one Newton, in a sense, began...to create that "harmonious"
universe) ]
But trust you to bring anything to the table if it "attacks" me somehow, in
any regard - small or big - whatsoever...even the employ of the devil to
achieve that quest is to your liking, Mr.Faust?
