Recently, our prefered Power Basic Programmer, Hutch--,
the good old friend of our prefered HLL/VHLL Programmer,
Randall Hyde, run into a very funny petition that you
    can read here:

    feedbackId=FDBK21759 >

    With a Title saying:

"Ignore MASM and it will go away"

To summarize, it says that, if, when writing MASM64,
MicroSoft removes the internal Macro "Invoke", - as
they planed to -, MASM will be dead.

There are many very funny things with this.

    1) As long as MASM was one of the main reason why
Assembly was almost dead, the final borrow of MASM
would only be good news for Assembly, wouldn't it?

    2) MASM is virtually dead since several years, as it
has been replaced by way better offers, particulary
FASM, in this area of the HLL-Side Assemblers, plus
    all others.

    3) If MASM Macros System is half as powerfull as they
claim (Randall Hyde and Hutch), why can't they write
    an "Invoke" macro? :)

    4) There is a much interresting paragraph, in Hutch Post,
    when he says:

"At the tail end of 32 bit Windows as the 64 bit version
is being developed, there are very good alternative
assemblers available that can already do the direct
mnemonic crunching, Netwide Assembler (NASM), Flat
Assembler (FASM), the YASM project and a newer tool called
GoAsm. Programmers who work in Microsoft languages have
tended to prefer MASM (ML.EXE) because of all the extra
things it can do above bare mnemonic crunching."

Read carefully: Here, our prefered Ass-Hole is talking to
Master MicroSoft, and he is saying, in all words, that the
existence of competitive Assemblers, _IS_ a good argument
that should convince Master MicroSoft to not take the wrong
    pass.

This is an estonishing demonstration, done by Hutch himself,
that he is working _AGAINST_ the free offers. Hear well: Not
even against the actual competitors offering a valid and decent
alternative to MicroSoft MASM32 ***, and already assuming, or
planing to assume very soon x64, but for the _FUTURE_ version
of it, that, in any case, will not have any compatibility
concern with the actual MASM32 version, and that NOBODY NEEDS.

    Much impressive. :)

    Betov.
