I make no claims that HLA lives up to all of those points :-)
Probably even worse than installation (because, for Windows, there *is*
an installation program these days), the big problem is that the
documentation has gotten out of date. The installation documentation is
a good example of this problem. I'd actually have done something about
it already, but with HLA v2.0 coming down the pike, the entire HLA
documentation is going to need to be rewritten anyway, so I'm just
pushing that task off until HLA v2.0 becomes a little more "real".
