You're wrong, as was I. It clears the last 4 bytes, not three,
including a byte it doesn't own. That's 12 in total, not 11. So this
following

wouldn't be 5 for long.

And, unfortunately, if the "structure" was 12 bytes long,

[ByteData: B§ ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? MyLastData: D§ ?]

it would only clear 8 bytes. Oh dear.
