It's a different context: The killfile means no _direct_ replies...this is
the last posting "via" someone else's reply indirectly...
Where's your sense of occasion? I'm just marking the termination of each
context of communication...you know, an excuse to have more than one
"party" in celebration of each specific event: The "I've just announced I'm
leaving work" after-work drink...then the "This is your last day"
party...then the "this is the last party" party after work on the last
day...then the "I'm no longer your work colleague" party the day after (to
celebrate "new beginnings" or something ;)...and, you know, get yourself a
whole series of merriment-making parties from the one occasion...if
everyone did this for all occasions, then you could spend some 50% of your
life constantly partying ;)...
But, no, I'm just having so much fun that I'm "extending" the farewell to
savour the "sweet sorrow" just that little bit longer...if you like, the
last one was a formal "goodbye"...this one is "...and good riddance"
whispered under my breath as I walk away ;)...
Beth :)
