Sorry, I'm punchy after a bad day...

Serious question for Chuck, though - since we seem to have gotten from HLAadv to Castle Elsinore... The "status bar" works great in dos. I'm curious how you intend to port it to Linux... I can think of a couple ways (more if you count "just call ncurses"). Opening /dev/vcsa0 doesn't seem to work at all in an xterm. Setting the scrolling area via ansi^H^H^H^H VT-100 commands seems to work in an xterm like HLA's "console.gotoxy(...)" is reported to work in Windows - to the top of the text-buffer, not the top of the screen. Paul's latest version looked good in either a real terminal or an xterm, and that uses a VT-100 "gotoxy" (and rewrites it after every damn write!)... Can a "good" way be found to do that - preferably something that can be "wrapped" with a "good" way to do it in Windows... ???

Dunno if "put the status bar at the bottom" would count as a good way or not...

Best,
Frank
