How do you pronounce "HLL"

I'm trying to figure out how the average person pronounces "HLL" to
themselves when reading this acronym in an article or a book.

Specifically, do *you* read it as "Ach, el, el" or do you read it as
"high-level language"?

The distinction is important because when you use an indefinite article
in front of "HLL" you'd use "a" if people usually pronounce it
"high-level language" and you'd use "an" if they sound out each letter
when reading it.

So how do you pronounce it?
Thanks,
Randy Hyde
