My suggestion would be to get a usb converter,then you can use your console gamepad of preferance.
Yes, I was actually thinking of just getting an Xbox controller and soldering a USB connector to it, but I've never actually used one before, so for all I know it works exactly the same way and I'd just be wasting my money.
So what I need is for someone to tell me if this is usual behavior for these types of controllers. If all controllers don't work like this, then I'll just take this one back and get a different one, however, if they do all work like this, then I'll take this one apart and wire it up to go through the ordinary joystick port, thereby fixing it's problems.
