Pila 2.0 is available, but compiled only for linux and I can't make it compile under the latest cygwin:

The latest windows compiled version is Pila 1.0 beta 3 fluff 7: http://ccc.1asphost.com/ahmedmuslim/palm.htm
Both only target the 68k. If you wanna code arm asm, turn to GNU's gas.

I'm trying to make a PalmOS program that changes the background to black and draws '1' and '0' all over the screen in random positions, alternating between light and dark green to create the matrix movie look. I borrowed this idea from Polaris, who wrote a C++ demo coding tutorial for Hugi #31. Anyway, nothing is displaying when I try to run this thing under Palm OS Garnet Simulator (5.4.0) Thankfully no crashing happens and I can exit the program fine. Thanks.
Most of my PocketC apps targetting the Tungsten E would only run on the Cobalt Simulator (many times the speed, of course). I believe that my SystemInfo was the only thing I could get to run on the Garnet emulator.
BTW, do you know of any modern links for ASDK and Pila? Google keeps turning up pages circa 1997... and the one '*.zip' I did get was corrupted. Also, has there been any effort to port Pila to target the ARM cpu used by the Gernet platform instead of targetting the abandoned 68K?
I imagine it is difficult to get developers interested in targetting Palm devices these days...what with all the eleventh-hour changes in direction {AFAIK, there are no actual devices based on the Cobalt platform; company reorganization, decision to base future platforms on Linux instead of PalmOS; company reorganization again; release of a slue of new platforms including a few running none-other than Windows PocketPC platform}. Is there a Captain piloting the Palm, Inc. ship??? Am I going to be forced to become three people so that I can maintain my app for Palms bought five years ago, Palms bought last year, and Palms to be bought next year?
Nathan.
