Because you are quite mentally healthy (contrary to impressions here :)
There is virtually nothing in the DSM that is entirely unhealthy. A certain amount of paranoia, selfishness, etc. is necessary in well balanced personality. It is only when multiple symptoms reach rather extreme and debilitating levels that a disorder or personality disorder can be diagnosed.
Going back to check if you locked the door once or twice is not Obsessive-Compulsive. Doing it half-a-dozen or more times straight in a row _might_ be.
Well. I am a compulsive poster. But none of them said anything about that.
