Sorry I mentioned it. Those who would like an unmoderated group without your presence could have snuck off there! :)
I will search tomorrow...
May not be carried on all news servers. Nothing much there - before my crosspost, a legitimate question about accessing a soundcard, which I don't know the answer to, a spam for "hot stuff", and a "test" from Arargh and my joke reply... but that takes us back to last year...
....
Show us what the swindler _did_.
I don't know where to start - "In The Beginning..." or "What have you done for me lately?" Arbitrarily, how about alphabetically in the "examples" directory... "AddHex.hla"...
program AddHex;
#include( "stdlib.hhf" )
static
UserInput1: dword;
UserInput2: dword;
begin AddHex;
forever
try
stdout.put( "Input the first hexadecimal value: " );
stdin.get( UserInput1 );
stdout.put( "Input the second hexadecimal value: " );
stdin.flushInput();
stdin.get( UserInput2 );
mov( UserInput1, eax );
add( UserInput2, eax );
stdout.put( "Their sum is ", eax, nl );
unprotected break;
exception( ex.ValueOutOfRange )
stdout.put( "Value was out of range, re-enter input" nl );
exception( ex.ConversionError )
stdout.put( "Illegal characters in input, please re-enter" nl );
endtry;
endfor;
end AddHex;
Now you may claim that's trivial, or that it's not assembly language. I doubt if you can tell me where you think it's copied from!
I warn you that next in line is "Basic.hla", which is much more substantial. Don't provoke me, or I'll post it!!! :)
We can go back to AoA16 and the UCR Standard Library, if you like
Joking me???!!!...
AoA16 always was an insane Blabla without any information
that would not have been copied from others works.
What works? Printed books? Tom Swan was popular, IIRC. I think Randy had a book out... had "Bible" in the title, so you probably didn't read it - I didn't. There was a tutorial from the University of Guadalajara... What was it copied from? Simply repeating the lie doesn't make it true. (although it worked pretty well for Stalin...).
Same
for the so called "Standard Library".
Copied from what? BlueBook? I don't *think* so!!!
Again, show us one
single innovation, that would have been produced by this
individual.
Okay - you want it all? Or just some samples?
, or we can stick to Randy's more recent contributions...
???!!!... Which is?...
The book itself is "for sale", but freely downloadable as well. It *is* copyrighted, but still might count as a "contribution". HLA itself. The HLA Standard Library. Miscellaneous examples, documentation, other programs...
You may not be impressed by this stuff, but to claim it doesn't exist is contrary to readily observable fact!
Exactly which part is "rephrasing others' works", and exactly which work is it rephrasing? This is a very serious accusation! Can you back it up?
Easily. There is not one sigle word of this swindler
that would not be rephrased from materials taken from
others' works.
Repeating the lie doesn't make it true. What is taken from what? Am I not making the question clear, or are you unable to answer?
The most extreeme case of indecency was
recently reached with the famous Tutorial about Win32
programming, whereas this nerd waited patiently that
all of the Assembly pioneers had done all of the job,
for selling himself on the thema, without having EVER
contributed to one single poor Demo, during all of the
Rebirth years, as everybody knows.
(I thought the Rebirth started when ReactOS was out? Now it's something that already happened?)
No, I don't think Randy was the first one to figure out how to write a Windows program in assembly. I don't think he invented the x86 instruction set, either. Is this what you mean by "rephrasing others' work"? I don't think Randy claims to be a "pioneer". (second mouse gets free cheese, y'know!) Columbus "discovered" America. Amerigo Vespucci wrote a book about it. We don't call it "Columbusland". Nothing new here.
(And BTW, where's Wannabee? Do you know what happened to him?
Half has actually very serious real life problems.
Worse bummer! If you're in contact with him, give him my best wishes!
I was worried about *you* when you got quiet a while ago, too! You'd just stated that you expected to live another 20 years... and Chuck had warned us about tempting the fates... Just moving to a new house, I guess? I can't resist - "Old one fall down?" :)
Some supporter of freedom of speech you turn out to be! With anarchists like this, who needs fascists?
Given the actual state and direction of the humanity,
i am afraid that a US citizen, like you, will no more
have any occasion for ever learning what anarchia and
fascism are.
I'm very much afraid we *will* learn what fascism is. I've often wondered... Stalin, Hitler, others... how do people *allow* them to gain such power??? Well, observe... first you allow yourself to be placed in a state of fear. The "Evil Empire" of the Soviet Union served well in its day. Now it's "terrorism" from the one side, and "global warming" from the other - if there can be said to be different "sides" to those who would increase their power over us. If we don't quietly allow our masters to relieve us of our rights, horrible things will happen. "Oh, okay then." Allow yourself to be made dependant - when a hurricane hits, sit on your hands and wait for your master and protector to "do something"...
It's fascinating to watch, in a morbid sort of way. Like watching a snake swallow a mouse. "Whoops, there go the ears!" :(
Not *everyone* says, "Oh, okay." Some say. "Wait a minute! You can't do that!" These voices are mostly ignored. (apparently, they can't be heard in Europe - you're not the only one who thinks all US citizens are the same)
Too late, unfortunately.
You may be right. I hope for an "awakening". If it doesn't happen soon, it may take a hellacious bloodbath to get our rights *back*! "The Tree of Liberty must be refreshed, from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants." "La jour de gloire est arrivee." I'm afraid it won't be very "glorious"... or pretty. But "never too late", I guess...
Dammit, Betov, now you've got me all depressed!
Best,
Frank
