Do you understand the difference between "copied from" and
"rephrased", or are you really completely stupid?
Sorry. My mistake. When you said:
"AoA16 always was an insane Blabla without any information
that would not have been copied from others works. Same
for the so called "Standard Library"."
I though perhaps you meant what you said. Stupid me!
Assembly Books existed LONG before this individual begun
rephrasing others' works for selling himself.
Sure. Assembly is mentioned in the Bible. Is that the one you claim
Randy rephrased? *Which* book or books are you claiming he rephrased?
Should be a simple question.
Again, show us one
single innovation, that would have been produced by this
individual.
Okay - you want it all? Or just some samples?
One single example would be enough.
I may need to have you define "innovation". Randy didn't invent
programming, nor assembly language, nor moveable type. He didn't write
Masm. He learned this stuff somewhere, presumably by RTFM and his own
experimentation. That's the way most people figure it out. He then
"rephrased" what he'd learned into a form that would make it easier
(supposedly) for *others* to learn. Is that what you're complaining
about? That's what teachers *do*, Betov!
For an "innovation" (without having it defined)... I don't recall seeing
"coroutines" anywhere but in Randy's work. Maybe you can tell me where he "rephrased" that one from...
, or we can stick to Randy's more recent contributions...
???!!!... Which is?...
The book itself is "for sale", but freely downloadable as well. It
*is* copyrighted, but still might count as a "contribution". HLA
itself. The HLA Standard Library. Miscellaneous examples,
documentation, other programs...
Yes... taken from others' works, which were all known since
YEARS, while he was nicely sleeping on his past laurels.
Where would I find these "others'" standard library? I know C's got one.
There are several others. The HLA Standard Library is *more* extensive
than any other I'm aware of. What was it "rephrased" from?
There's nothing "new" in the library - it can all be learned in the
MicroSoft documentation, or the Linux man pages, or other places. It
doesn't take a "genius inventor" to do this - it takes a hard worker!
Randy *did* this grunt work - lots of it - and made the result freely
available to us. You can claim he "merely rephrased" the C Standard
Library (or some other) if you want to. It was *still* a pile of haed work!
(much like *you've* done a ton of hard work and made the result
available to us - I'm not knocking *your* contribution by praising Randy's!)
....
No, I don't think Randy was the first one to figure out how to write a
Windows program in assembly.
You can even say, without any risk of error, that he was one
of the very last ones.
That seems improbable, since there seem to be newbies coming along every
day that haven't figured it out.
I don't think he invented the x86 instruction set, either. Is this what you mean by "rephrasing others' work"? I don't think Randy claims to be a "pioneer". (second mouse
gets free cheese, y'know!)
Indeed. He even wrote, right here, the sentence:
"The pioneers receive the arrows and the farmers get the land".
I thought it was "settlers", actually...
There is no limit to the arrogancy of this individual.
A simple observation of reality. Do you consider it "arrogant" to
observe reality? (that would explain a lot!)
I was worried about *you* when you got quiet a while ago, too! You'd just stated that you expected to live another 20 years... and Chuck
had warned us about tempting the fates... Just moving to a new house,
I guess? I can't resist - "Old one fall down?" :)
No. It is still there, but i bought a new one, in a more
pretty place.
:)
Good! I seem to recall you complaining about the encroaching
"monoculture". "Fields of yellow". Hope you've got more diversity - and
birds - at the new place.
....
I'm very much afraid we *will* learn what fascism is. I've often wondered... Stalin, Hitler, others... how do people *allow* them to
gain such power???
The same way you gave power to Bush and to Isreal.
"Israel". You been taking spelling lessons from Beth? :)
(Speaking of Beth... I just emailed her... came back "mailbox
unavailable"... Hope *she's* okay!)
I think I understand how Bush came to power (although not *why* we were
so easily fooled). Israel is a real mystery to me. I understand your
theories about how we want to extend our "influence" (Empire) across the
region. I can't think of a *less* useful ally to achieve this goal!!!
....
Horrible things have already happend, and are going on
happening
If I recall my history lessons, it started even before there was a United States. What did they do without us? :)
, with the only difference that we will be lesser
and lesser informed of them.
A bit of a paradox, there. I know what you're saying - the "news" is pretty well "managed". The government is sneaking around behind our back with secret programs... and prisons! We've got a case where the ACLU is defending somebody - some sort of "library" (not that kind) issue. But they can't say who they're defending, because it's illegal to reveal that you're being investigated under the "Patriot" Act!
On the other hand, communication is improving. For example, when I rad in the papers that "Paris is burning!", I can talk to you and find out what the actual situation is. This kind of "checking" used to be more difficult - ham radio guys used to do some of it. So there's a bright side to an otherwise disturbing situation.
....
The days when an "awakening" was possible are gone, IMHO,
and i have no illusion about any way for getting "our rights
back". The last "rights" we have are the ones, deprived of
any importance, that the Crime&Co is good willing to let
we still have, and for the real things, we are not even
allowed to know of them.
If we're not allowed to know, how do *you* know? Got an "in" with Crime&Co? :)
The Declaration of Independence say that our rights were "endowed" on us by our Creator. I don't see any evidence of that. The only rights *any* people *ever* had are the ones we *take*!
For example, you will get tons of informations about the
actual Isrealian war... maybe, somebody will even comment
about the collusion and relationship with the USA will of
taking control on the whole area, its failure at taking
control on Irak and incapacity at destroying the other
countries around ...
Destruction, we have the capacity for! If destruction were the goal, you'd see *plenty* of destruction. What we seem to lack the capacity for, is to exert some "influence" or "control" (Empire) *without* destroying what we would exploit.
but nobody will ever explain you the
reasons why,
I take it that means you're not going to? :(
for those crimes against humanity, perpetrated
by _elected_ criminals,
Elected criminals... Do only criminals run? Or do we - almost unfailingly - elect the criminal? Or do they become criminal by being elected? The latter, to a large extent, I suspect. When you give a person power, you put temptation in front of him. Human beings are *not* noted for being good at resisting temtation!
> fighting for their own short terms
> benefits.
What are these benefits? Sex, money, power... not necessarily in that order. How good are they at gettin' them, and by what means? Bill Gates is a *hell* of a lot richer than Dubya, and he never got elected to anything. Dubya's got more power... or does he...
When the World Trade Center and Pentagon attacks happened, Bush went to an "undisclosed location" on his way to "the bunker", then turned around and came back to Washington. I want to know who decides, "Mr. President, you're going to the bunker." Is this the guy with the *real* power?
In any case, I'm not sure that these guys are serving even their short-term selfish interests - let alone "enlightened self-interest" - very effectively. (Iraq being a perfect example...)
As opposed, you will get tons of informations about how
Isreal had no choice but to defend against the Esbolla
attacks... well... nothing new in the Nazi camp, but the
much improved propaganda system.
Not so much improved. Same Old ***, I'd say. If it were "improved", you wouldn't be advising me of these things! :)
Best,
Frank
