Where, an when, did Markus said that he was wanting to learn
Assembly in 10 lessons, clown?
Uh, since when does 10 weeks = 10 lessons? In fact, in a typical
course you're talking 30 lectures, 10 lab sessions, and 5-10
programming projects during this time period.
Again, you should learn a little bit about the educational process
before you open your mouth.
You understand it or not, there
is no relationship in between a guy who wants to learn a bit
of Assembly, and a studient who has no choice but simulating
learning what he is teached.
There is one *big* similarity, however -- a guy picking it up on his
own as well as a student taking a course (whether they want to be
there) wants the educational experience to be as efficient as possible.
That is, you want to learn the most material for a given amount of time
studying that material. And that's where "let's just find a bunch of
little tutorials on the internet" fails completely. The most efficient
way to learn a subject is to start with a text/book/whatever that takes
you from the very basic steps through to some more advanced point in a
careful manner. Markus' problem is that he is now hopping around quite
a bit with the material. The 16-bit random number generator example he
picked up, without realizing the problems with it, is a classic example
of the problems a beginner runs into when they study a subject in a
haphazard manner.
