You weren't looking very hard. At the time you did this ( 1998, by your
own personal history) several books on assembly language were
describing how to write applications in assembly for Windows.

Probably the reason why, hafter having build your usurpated
reputation in the DOS times, you waited MANY YEARS, for the
couple of pioneers to do all of the hard work, before jumping
on the band wagon, clown.
