You seem to know a lot about courtesy, yet you don't seem to agree to
the fact that manipulating original topic's subject is all but
courteous.
I'd advice you not to take side on wars, and to be neutral and
objective : on this matter, objectivity tells me that manipulating the
subject of a topic is all but nice, both for the original poster, for
the tons of software which revolve around newsgroups, and for the
common newsgroup reader who sees topic subjects everywhere, polluting
his visual space, and not bringing anything relevant to the original
topic.
On your other post you say that "it's of common use to change topic's
subject, when the content of the post differs a lot with the original
post", but I don't agree; Then why post on the same topic, if it's not
to talk about the original post ?
You changed your title to "newsreaders" but as far as I know, the
original post was exactly talking about that.
