AMD Help needed

Although I began to learn assembly language using a Pentium II computer a
few months ago I switched to a computer with an AMD Sempron chip. I have
found that many of the program examples I used simply do not work and I
cannot find any tutorials for learning assembly with an AMD chip.
Can anyone give any suggestions?
