Perl
regex is pretty fast for its flexibility. Given the fact that Perl is
Open Source,
I'd expect this DMCAscript thing to be as fast as Perl is (or at least
within a magnitude).

I mean, you expect abstractions upon abstractions to make things much
slower. But it is hard to beat Perl regex in speed and reliability.
