FASM supports type checking. FASM's has a more sophisticated macro
subsystem. FASM supports automatic size optimization. That makes it
quite a bit different from NASM in most people's book.
* A look at FASM Board, and a look at FASM Board will show
you clearly that NASM has no users, and that FASM has a
lot of very active users, doing plenty of things (things
of no interrest for me, but this is a _fact_).

A look at the FASM board will show you clearly that RosAsm has no
users. What's your point?
* FASM is written in Self-Compilable Assembly, and NASM the
stupid way, in C. There is no other reason why NASM was
killed by FASM.
And that wasn't a reason either. NASM is hardly dead.
Let's turn it around. Look at any Linux (gee, *NIX) distribution out
there. NASM is all over the place. Where's FASM? Is FASM dead? There
are several published and free books that use NASM. Nothing for FASM.
Is FASM dead?
It's all a matter of perspective, you see?
