Yeah... if usenet isn't "dead", it's becoming the "red-headed stepchild" for some providers. Moderated newsgroups have "special needs" that not all servers handle properly. I don't have to do it currently, but a cc (ordinary email) to "clax86-submit at crayne dot org" used to get around the problem for me...

For those who don't/won't/can't read clax86, "binary bombs" aren't "malware" in any sense (except possibly as a time-sink). The thread arose from an old "homework assignment" - to "defuse the bomb" by disassembling the executable to discover the correct "password(s)". The original apparently sent email to the instructor if the "bomb" was triggered (and you flunked the assignment!). This one just says "KABOOM!" While the executable is for Linux, generic tools ought to disassemble it, so Windows-users can play. (a Windows version could probably be provided). Latest "bomb" can be downloaded from:
