It is not the duty of government to protect a citizen from his/her own
actions. People need to start taking responsibility for their own
actions and stop relying on the government to create airbags around
them.

Capitalism is at its healthiest when there exists little or no
restrictions on its activities.

Society/Community is at its healthiest when there exists little or no
restrictions on its members activities *AND* those members take
responsibility for their freedoms.

A gun-maker should be allowed to sell you a pistol which is designed
such that the barrel points at your head when you hold it. If you make
such a purchase and use the tool in the manner designed, your
unfortunate 'demise' is your own fault -- there is absolutely no
logical reason for any entity to step in to prevent your demise; it is
also not logical for an entity to be tasked with the duty of preventing
the sell of said object.
