That might be your interpretation of what I feel.

I readily admit that I cannot see into your heart, which is why I used
the word "apparently". All any of us can do is to judge you on your
actions, and for most of us, that means what you post in this newsgroup.

After all, if I
didn't think that HLA users would be comfortable with make files, why
would I supply make files in the distribution to build HLA itself, the
HLA standard library, and all the example programs?

Invoking your make files in accordance with your installation
instructions is an entirely different skill set from your users creating
their own make files for their own multiple source module projects.

In addition, the last time I suggested that make files would better
solve the problem of long command lines than having to set up
environment variables, your reaction was quite negative.

Quite frankly, you're burning up all that respect
by behaving a whole like like Rene Tournois.

The sad part is that you are unable to see how much like him
you have, yourself, become. To most people who, like myself, are not
part of either camp, you two are the opposite sides of the same coin.
In the history of this forum, your names will be forever linked.

My earlier jest about Dr. Betov and Mr. Hyde contains more than just "a
grain or two of truth among the chaff".
