As this kind of 'protection' follows a weird and paranoid concept, I
think it was on M$-demands and had to be merged in by breaking nails,
just to remain backwards compatibel down to the museum (another M$-idea).

M$ and Intel seems to be engaged anyway, just look at the ISApNp specs.
