Then, most Linux applications come with source code, which you can
compile and run in Windows with Cygwin. Lina seems to "solve" a
problem of someone going and compiling and linking a program for
Cygwin he or she is developing in/for Linux.
I suppose it's "cool" that you can run same executable on OS X, Linux
and Windows.. but.. somehow this does fail to excite yours truly,
what's wrong with me? :)
I think a lot of people are missing the point of this product. This
isn't a "let's run console apps across different OSes." You can pretty
much do that today with no problems. We're talking about *GUI* apps
here. Further, the Lina teams claims you get a *native* user interface
for each OS from the *same* binary executable. Depending on how
limited or watered down the "native" user interface is, this is quite
impressive.
