Since we're talking about Debian/Ubuntu...
I'm looking for a couple of things, Linux/Ubuntu/MacIntosh.
What's the name of the monotype serif font on those systems?
On a Windows machine it is Courier or Courier New (opentype).
What is the name of the monotype sans-serif font on those?
On a Windows machine it is Fixedsys or System or Terminal.
Fonts have an interesting history. TrueType fonts were developed
by Apple and licensed by Microsoft. OpenType was developed
by Microsoft and later joined by Adobe, and created as a type
to be deployed across a variety of operating systems.
Microsoft initially called it's TrueType font "TrueType Open" and
later when Adobe joined them, they called it OpenType.

Thanks for any help. Looking for the font names on multiple OS's.
