Again, your senility is coming through. The fact that I've written
assemblers in the past (e.g., the "LISA" assembler) demonstrates your
first sentence is incorrect. As for writing anything comparable to
FASM, I guess that really depends upon how you define "comparable".
Certainly, I wouldn't design an assembly language along the lines of
the FASM language, so on that basis alone, any implementation of an
assembly language is not going to be comparable to FASM.
As usual, you've said a lot of words, but they are all meaningless.
