You are really confused, Hutch. Back in 2003, he thought there was no doubt, and he did not know he was mistaken.
Perhaps we can learn something from his behaviour when he finally learned - to his complete astonishment - that he *was* mistaken. Did he call off the war and put Saddam back in place? His failure to do so suggests that, even if he was "mistaken" about WMD, he was being less than truthful about the threat from WMD being the reason for the war.
