If the main program a 32bit protectmode(PM) application that you start
under windows/linux, then you can´t switch to the realmode(RM), because
there is a protection to do that.

Otherwise that apllication is to start under pur DOS and it switch to the
PM, than the apllication needs a global disciptor table(GDT)/ and maybe a
local disciptor table(LDT). If you switch than to RM, the GDT/LDT will
destroy, so you must build it again, to switch back to PM. To do that,
you have to know those entrys of that GDT/LDT.
