how to get line no info from elf file.....

    hi,
       I am currently working on a debugger project.I got all the
    information needed for my project from coff file,but from elf i
    couldn't get the line number information.But there is a section named
    ".line" in elf file,but the format of that section is unspecified,can
    anyone please help me in this regard.I need the format of
    ".line",".debug",".debug_line" sections.I am running short of time,so
    please reply with the solution as soon as possible.
