I cannot agree. If you simply want an introduction to a subject
these kind of books serve that purpose well. Looking through
my bookshelf I have 2 books of a similiar theme "The Complete
Idiot's Guide to Calculus" and "The Complete Idiots Guide to
Billiards and Pool".
