All posts, and crossposts, to clax86 have the from address munged, unless the poster has previously "opted in" to having the actual address revealed, by sending an email from that address to clax86-realfrom@xxxxxxxxxxx This is an automated process, and does not require any specific wording in either the subject or body of the message.
Now I have to go look up where it says that moderated ngs must have "moderated" in their names! Hmm, can't seem to find it... :-)
That's what you get for jumping in an ng without lurking first. Thanks for enlightening the newbie.
The only drawback I see is that those who post with only an e-mail address as their "From" all look like the same anonymous person. This is not necessarily bad, but it's not at all like elsewhere.
