Re: Write on a hard disk

Thus spake Langdon (spamtrap@xxxxxxxxxx):
sorry I have posted an italian message. This is traduction.

I would write on hard disk. I know how write on disk in assembler and in C.
The problem is that I would write on disk without an every file is created.
I would write 2 byte.

Don't.

This is stupid, it will anger customers, it will make your software only
run with administrator privileges, and if someone creates a file that
uses that space, your software breaks. In short, it will make you and
your software look bad.

All this for the protection of my software writed with c# and runs on an usb
pen.

Unless you also sell the USB stick, you open yourself up to lawsuits if
you just write bytes to the USB stick and damage something that the user
put there.

Felix

PS: I'm so happy that I left all this crap behind when I switched to Linux.
