Intel pretty much avoids all mention of the concept of sign
except where absolutely necessary (e.g. sign extension).
It doesn't even describe SF as the sign flag, despite the
obvious root of the name. Its behaviour is described in
terms of the highest bit of a number, or comparisons with
80h, etc..
