Tsk, tsk, Betov. We have been down this road before. I already
pointed out to you that an assembler is a processor that can output one or
more bytes that are precisely what the programmer specified.
I'd advise against even trying. Trying to get Betov to deal with reality
is a pointless waste of time and effort. He's a living example of the
old joke about the ladies watching the parade, and one says something
like: "Look -- the whole band it out of step except for my Johny."
Betov has decided on his own definition of what constitutes an
assembler, and he's clearly not going to let anything like facts
influence him or his opinion in any way.
In the end, it doesn't make any real difference to anything anyway. Much
as the value of something is a price that can be agreed upon between a
willing buyer and a willing seller, so too the meaning of a word is
what's agreed upon. Betov chooses to use the word "assembler" in his own
way, and nobody else agrees with him. That's fine -- it just means he's
incapable of communicating with the rest of the population. Of course,
some degree of disagreement over the meaning of a word is nearly
inevitable -- this just happens to be a case where his disagreement with
everybody else is so drastic that it makes all his comments meaningless.
You'd be roughly as well off trying to communicate with somebody heavily
dosed on LSD -- his perception of reality is simply so different from
your's (or mine) that no basis for meaningful communication exists.

Later,
Jerry.
The universe is a figment of its own imagination.
