Greeting and Salutations!

I would be interested in collecting information regarding the following:

I would be interested in learning C and/or C++, however, I would want to
have some data before hand.

This data may include, but is not limited to the following:

Should I learn C before C++

Which Language is better (Using data, facts, support, NO FLAMES)

What are the Pros and Cons of each language

What books, if any should I read

What internet texts should I read

Thoughts regarding Libs, HeaderFiles, ObjectFiles, IDEs, Debuggers, etc,
would be greatly appreciated:
        (ie.:Boost is good because <foo>, GLib is good if you want to
program games, io<foo>.h is good because..., Cygwin is nice
because..., DevCPP is nice because..., DJGPP is nice because...,etc...)

Any other considerations would be most appreciated...

Thanks In Advance ~7~
