The only book I have on C++ is very basic so I was wondering if someone
could direct me to a book (preferably PDF or postscript file) that goes
into the topic of hardware, as in how to access it using c++ (for example
how to access a USB port). Linux is my OS so Windows books wouldn't do me
any good (but list them anyways for anyone else).

Thanks in advance
