troubles with c commands on linux platform

    hi!

    Does anybody know how to use c commands on linux?
    for example
    i type: printf("text");
    but it is an unknown command.
    I remember that i used conio.h on win platform to do that
    but there is no conio.h on linux. i have aurox 9.1
