But 'to dump core' and 'core file' are still current terminology in Unix
circles. This operating system family dates back to the early seventies,
well before my time, but it seems it will be with us in some form or other
for quite some time.

Besides, I believe there are still some specialised applications where
magnetic core memory is considered appropriate technology.
