General consensus here seems to indicate that one of the
best free online C++ books is the one by Bruce Eckel:
"Thinking in C++" www.mindview.net
FWIW, I purchased the hard-copy version, and don't regret
spending the money.
Finally, beware that the majority of online stuff is seriously
wanting and/or simply wrong. If you find something online which
you think is good, imo it would be a good idea to post a link and
ask the 'gurus' here about its quality, before using it.
