add new c++ to new project (newbie)

MS Visual c++.net (2002) (part of visual.net

The following does not occur when i do :
new project
visual c++ projects
win32 project
(i choose) console application &
empty project
RMB add new item
and now i want to add a C++ file (.cpp) from the add new item box
(templates) But it isn't there.
How can i get it there or where can i find it??

your help is being highly appreciated
