Yes, I agree, in the sense of providing versions or corresponding tutorials
for Linux and OS/X (Max), and/or for other toolsets.

I'm not capable of that, however...

Someone else will have to do that (btw., that also goes for conversion
to HTML: I've had help with that, but the one who did that is now on a
project in a far off country and very busy -- anyone feel up to it?).
