You posted the same question about 3 hours earlier.
There have been many such duplicate or even
triplicate posts today, on most of the newsgroups
I follow. They all seem to come from Google Groups.
Often that's the result from Google Groups having a problem and not
updating the messages. People post but don't see their message, so
they repost.
I don't think that's the case this time. The
duplicated messages I've seen today have been 100%
identical: no rephrasings, changes in content, or
whatnot. Also, in one case in another newsgroup
I saw the following sequence of messages:
09:20 - Question from OP
10:05 - Response from YHOS
10:16 - Thanks and follow-up from OP
10:25 - Further follow-up from OP
10:27 - Original question repeated
11:32 - Response to second follow-up from YHOS
12:00 - Original question threepeated
This sequence seems inconsistent with the hypothesis
of "No answer yet; I'll post it again." And since I've
seen more than the usual amount of repeating today --
and all from the same mega-source -- I'm disinclined to
blame the posters themselves. For now, anyhow ...
Ah, could well be. I have no idea why Google has such a difficult time
executing the business of being a news server. It's hardly cutting edge
technology.
