I've just finished a fairly lengthy "for dummies" book in C++

one of the auto-generated documents that look like.
This is comp.lang.c. You want comp.lang.c++. A different
language.

No, comp.lang.c++ is a different *newsgroup*, not a different
language. In case you hadn't noticed, by the way, he has already
been redirected to clc++ at least twice.

Nothing happens until CBF does it!

Bet he has self inflated beyond the maximum pressure recommend for his head.
That causes rectal cranial inversion.

I have this image of Falconer tut tutting to himself as he stalks,
harassed looking and shaking his head, C standard under his arm, to the
Kitchen for a cup of tea only to refuse to talk to his misses as his
skills are needed immediately back in c.l.c. His self regard is
something to behold. I don't think I have ever witnessed such a
ludicrous, pompous cretin in a technical newsgroup. He actually thinks
people listen to his kill file advice! He actually thinks that people
bow to his many links of netiquette (which he breaks). He actually
thinks people give a flying f*ck about his views on topicality.
