Samsung CD-R/RW SW 248B problems writing data

I have teh above mentioned CD writer and have experienced that all CD
burning programs accept the writing dialog and (so called) burned
successfuly, however, when I try to read the burned data. the disk is
still empty. What is the problem? Operating System is XP Professional.
