I cannot speak for 'most here'; I can say that, for myself, I would rather
see a redesign than an attempt to apply a construct in a manner which the
Standard clearly and unambiguously states will give unpredictable results.
This is because, in my experience, the data themselves have a tendency to
introduce sufficient unpredictability that I have found it undesireable to
add to this.
