It is a far cry. Registry scanners like this delete classids that
reference missing files, and entries referencing those classids.
Microsoft offers a free one 'regclean', apparently written by
Microsoft programmers on their own time.
These programs don't understand semantics of the entries. They can't
detect entries that don't belong there.
